Dr Chan asks, "Combating Diabetes, is Cutting Down on Sugar Alone Enough?"
May 08, 2024Do think you think that cutting down on Sugar alone is enough to optimally combat diabetes? Many people with diabetes wrongly think that it is enough. Many would fail to tackle their lifestyle and diet holistically, focusing instead on various 'hacks' to lower blood sugar spikes instead of addressing, changing and improving all aspects of their lifestyle and diet.
That is one of the most common and challenging mistake I see made by people with diabetes, that they do not see Diabetes as this chronic disease caused multiple factors of their lifestyle and diet and which could potentially cause serious complications to multiple organs in their body. Diabetes is more than just a problem of intake of sugar in their diet or high sugar in their blood.
These following 2 videos I made is relevant to and useful in tackling this misconception, this mistake that many people with diabetes make.
